Description or Charge of the Committee

Develop and implement strategies for internal communications, to better engage members and friends, and external communications, to present UUFB to the broader community.  Areas of focus include webpage design and content, social media, branding, email, newsletters, and announcements.  The Team prepares or revises related policies and practices as needed.  This Team is being re-formed.

Duties of a Team Member

Team Meetings:

  • The Team will identify its preferred format, either online or in-person.
  • Prepare for meetings by reviewing agendas and related materials.
  • Attend scheduled meetings regularly; inform the chair in advance if unable to attend.
  • Volunteer for assignments that match your skills, interests, and time.
  • Follow up on meeting assignments.

Team Activities:

  • Review strategy and channels for internal communications and recommend enhancements to enhance the participation and sense of belonging of members and friends.
  • Develop strategy and tools for external communications to present our liberal religion to the broader community and attract new members and friends who share our values (i.e. marketing).
  • Monitor
  • branding, logos, message strategy and content.
  • Evaluate current UUFB policies and practices, recommend updates.
  • Assist with the implementation of new processes as necessary.

Approximate time per month for Team Meetings

  • Meetings are 60-90 minutes.

Approximate additional time per month for other Team work or activities

  • Meeting preparation: 30-60 minutes.
  • Assignments will take varying amounts of time.

Number of openings for new Team Members

  • The ideal Team size is 3-5
