Our Whole Lives (OWL)
“To offer sexuality education in a congregation is to acknowledge that sexuality is simply too important, too beautiful and too potentially dangerous to be ignored in a religious community.” -Rev. Cynthia Breen

Our Whole Lives is a comprehensive, lifespan sexuality education curricula that helps participants make informed and responsible decisions about their relationships, sexual health and behavior. With a holistic approach, Our Whole Lives provides accurate, developmentally appropriate information about a range of topics, including relationships, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, sexual health, and cultural influences on sexuality.
It equips participants with accurate, age-appropriate information in six subject areas: human development, relationships, personal skills, sexual behavior, sexual health, and society and culture. Grounded in a holistic view of sexuality, Our Whole Lives not only provides facts about anatomy and human development, but also helps participants clarify their values, build interpersonal skills, and understand the spiritual, emotional, and social aspects of sexuality.
Four levels of Our Whole Lives are designed for children in grades K-1, 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12; programs are also available for Young Adults and Adults.
