Celebrating Mary Oliver’s Poetry

When poet Mary Oliver gave the Ware Lecture at the UUA General Assembly in 2006, UUA President Rev. William G. Sinkford introduced her as “one of our most important liturgists.” Her poems reflect a love of the natural world and the struggle to find peace and compassion. Along with a bit of background about Oliver’s life and work, this service will feature readings of several of her poems.
