Democracy: A Dream Deferred

Is it true that the word Democracy is nowhere to be found in our Constitution or in the Declaration of Independence? Yes, it is so. Yet we refer to our government as a Democracy! As it turns out, our Founding Founders actually feared democratic rule. The Founders preferred the word “Republic.” This sermon will share insights about the differences between the two and an offering for our present post-election world.
