Father’s Day: Stories about Parenting as a Black Father

Join us at Bozeman Park to hear stories of our humanity through the experiences of fathering and the complexities of parenting children in today’s society, especially children of color. Dr. Mahiri is a Visiting Professor in Anthropology at MSU since 2009, who has a wide range of life experiences. He speaks from the heart with empathy, broad perspectives, and humor in his narratives. He is also a photographer and engages in Afro-Cuban percussion and dance. In the summers he works in landscaping, which has led to his planting of at least 1,000 trees in Bozeman and throughout the Gallatin Valley. Don’t miss this special service.
