From Argentina’s Dirty War Years’ painters clandestinely sneaking in anti-fascist imagery into street art to Ukrainian street murals in wartime, history shows that people turn to art in times of crisis. We will explore how creation becomes a spiritual act when the world feels broken, and why creating art and supporting the arts is an act of radical hope.
Christina Barbachano is a professional artist, long-time educator, and Executive Director of the Holter Museum of Art in Helena, MT. She is also an almost life-long UU and has a passion for the connection between her spiritual beliefs and creative path.
