Imagination and Why It Matters

In this talk, there will be a discussion of how imagination is central to life and progress. It moves with us in a past, present and future. It’s big, It’s complicated, and this talk will give us a small way of considering its importance.

Jo Anne Salisbury Troxel is a retired English teacher, social activist, and supporter of the arts. She holds a master’s degree in Philosophy and Contemporary Literature. A native Montanan, she has lived in the same house in Bozeman for 60 years. Mostly, though, she is a writer. Her book of poems, Mean Dog Blues, has enjoyed some success, along with her memoir about her parents, Waiting for the Revolution, which the Montana Historical Society has recognized as an important piece of Montana history and added to its collection. She also edited a collection of essays about Covid titled Women Elders Speak. She continues to write.
