As Unitarian Universalists, we are called to contribute to our fellowship, but we may feel unsure about how to sustain or plan our giving. We admire the generosity of big philanthropists but wisely question how much the world’s richest people can be counted on to assist the poorest. What do the world’s great spiritual traditions say about earning, keeping, or giving away money?
Kathryn Hohmann has wrestled with these questions and more as she worked as a fundraiser at local, state, national, and international nonprofits. After raising more than $75 million for humanitarian, educational, environmental, and animal rescue causes, she stopped counting (while continuing to ask for even more).
This service will be held in person and online.
