In honor of Memorial Day, we will celebrate the life of Joe Medicine Crow, a veteran of WWII. For his heroic acts during the war, he earned a Bronze Star. He received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2008. But as a historian and anthropologist, he said about war: “No one wins. Both sides lose”. The worst enemies are ourselves”. His work later in life supports our 6th principle: “The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all.”
