On this Labor Day Sunday, four members of the congregation, Susan Bianchini, Neil Schwarzwalder, Bruce DePriester and Neil Gregersen will read excerpts from Working, published in 1972. These excerpts reveal the value, frustrations and rewards of having a job and/or a career from different perspectives. And, perhaps not too surprising, their words are relevant to us today as they address justice, discrimination, and the worth and dignity of every person.
