The UUA President, Rev. Susan Frederick-Gray, wrote an essay for UU World in May 2021 entitled “Our Commitment to Democracy is Theological”. On this Sunday before Independence Day, we will celebrate the democratic ideals upon which our nation was founded and how commitment to those ideals is an important part of our faith. Members of our congregation will reflect on what democracy means to them personally and as Unitarian Universalists.
