Imagination’s Importance in Unitarian Universalism

Throughout the histories of Unitarianism and Universalism, our forebears used their imaginations to arrive at religious perspectives that differed from what was considered to be “proper” or even acceptable for the time. Some of those forebears were labeled as heretics and some paid the ultimate price for the perspectives they held. Because of those who came before, today Unitarian Universalism encourages people to use their imagination to explore and expand our religious and spiritual understandings.
