Making Space for Belonging

In order for a person to feel a sense of belonging in any type of human system, the system needs to make space for that person—space where the person feels, at the very least acknowledged, and at best welcomed, accepted and appreciated. In the history of our religious faith tradition some groups of people have not felt there was space for them. How are we doing today at making space for those who may want to be part of our faith community?
